... Read moreHave you ever felt completely heartbroken or blindsided by someone's dishonesty? It's a truly painful experience when you realize someone you trusted has been lying to you. In those moments, it's natural to feel lost, angry, and wonder how you'll ever recover. I've been there, and let me tell you, it's during these times that my faith truly became my anchor.
When the weight of deceit feels unbearable, my first instinct is always to turn to God. I pray specifically, 'God, please remove anyone lying to me.' It’s not about wishing ill upon others, but rather asking for divine discernment and protection. The Bible teaches us that God is truth, and He sees everything hidden in darkness. It's a comfort to know that even if I can't uncover the lies myself, He knows and will ultimately bring things to light in His perfect timing. Trusting this helps me let go of the need to control the situation or seek revenge. Instead, I focus on asking God for wisdom to navigate relationships and for the courage to set healthy boundaries. Sometimes, God doesn't physically 'remove' a person, but He opens your eyes to their true character, allowing you to make peace-filled decisions for your own well-being.
The other powerful truth I cling to is that 'God will fix it.' This isn't just a hopeful saying; it's a profound declaration of faith in His power and love. There have been countless times in my life where situations seemed utterly broken, beyond repair. Whether it was a fractured relationship, a financial crisis, or deep personal despair, I brought it all to Him. And each time, in His own way and in His own time, He worked things out. It might not always be in the exact way I envisioned, but His solutions are always better, always leading to growth and peace. This is where that beautiful promise comes in: 'He will give you the desires of your heart.' (Psalm 37:4). When we delight ourselves in the Lord, when we surrender our worries and desires to Him, He shapes our hearts to desire what is good and right, and then fulfills those very longings. It’s not always about getting exactly what we want, but about Him aligning our desires with His perfect will, and then bringing that alignment to fruition. This trust allows us to rest, knowing that He is actively working on our behalf, even when we can't see it.
So, what does this look like practically? For me, it means spending time in prayer, pouring out my heart to Him. It also involves reading the Bible, finding verses that speak to my specific struggles – scriptures about truth, justice, and God's faithfulness. I also find immense strength in connecting with other believers. Sharing my struggles and hearing how others have seen God work in their lives reinforces my own faith. It's a journey, not a one-time fix. There will be days when doubt creeps in, but remembering His past faithfulness and looking forward to His future promises keeps me going. He’s not just a passive observer; He's an active, loving Father who cares deeply about every detail of your life, including those painful lies and broken situations. Believe that 'Yes, He will' step in and make things right.
