Lately, I've been spending a lot of time reflecting on a powerful verse that truly resonates with me: 'When she speaks, her words are wise & full of kindness. Proverbs 31:26.' This isn't just a beautiful sentiment; it feels like a blueprint for how I aspire to live my life, especially in today's often-challenging world. It’s easy to be kind, and it’s easy to be wise, but finding that perfect balance where you are both wise and full of kindness – that’s the real journey. For me, being kind means genuinely caring for others, offering a listening ear, or a helping hand without expecting anything in return. It’s about choosing grace over judgment and empathy over indifference. But the 'wise' part is equally crucial. Wisdom helps us discern situations, understand intentions, and protect our own boundaries while still extending compassion. It’s about standing firm in our values, even when it’s uncomfortable, but doing so with a gentle spirit. I've found that true wisdom often involves knowing when to speak, what to say, and when to remain silent, always with kindness as the underlying motive. Living out 'Proverbs 31:26' in my daily life looks like a continuous effort. It means pausing before I react, especially when I feel frustrated or hurt.
