Where does your baby sleep?

My daughter is 15 months old, we share a room and she has a crib next to my bed. But 9 times out of 10, she is in my bed. Not for lack of trying, but because I have to work early and in her bed, some nights she wakes every hour or so. So when I’m exhausted, I just move her to my bed and she stays. In the first few times of the night, I put her back to sleep and back in her bed. But most mornings we wake up next to each other & happy and rested 😊

... Read moreWhen considering where your baby sleeps, it's important to weigh both the pros and cons of co-sleeping versus traditional crib sleeping arrangements. Many parents find themselves choosing to co-sleep for convenience, especially during those exhausting early months. Research shows that co-sleeping can foster a strong parent-child bond and can help soothe a baby to sleep more easily, but it is also essential to prioritize safety. Experts recommend safe sleep practices to prevent risks such as suffocation or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Alternatives such as sidecar cribs, which attach to your bed but keep the baby in their own sleeping space, offer a compromise between sharing a bed and maintaining safety. Whichever option you choose, maintaining a consistent sleep routine and ensuring a comfortable environment can help both you and your baby achieve better rest. Additionally, parents should consider their own sleep needs and the temperament of their child. Keeping a flexible mindset and adjusting the sleeping arrangements as the child grows can lead to a more harmonious sleeping environment for the entire family.
