Sacred Stones fans… was Joshua always this broken? 👀

You know, when I first started playing Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, I heard whispers about Joshua, but I didn't fully grasp just how much of a game-changer he could be. Now, after countless playthroughs, I can confidently say: Joshua IS broken in Fire Emblem Sacred Stones! It's not just hype; his performance truly lives up to the legend. From the moment I recruited him, I could feel the potential. He starts as a Myrmidon, a solid class, but it’s when he promotes to a Swordmaster that he truly shines. His growth rates are insane, especially in Skill and Speed. This combination means he doubles almost every enemy, lands critical hits far more often than anyone else, and, most importantly, dodges like a maniac. I've had so many instances where Joshua was surrounded by three or four enemies, and he'd just weave through their attacks, taking zero damage, and then retaliate with a series of quick, deadly strikes. It’s like he has an invisible shield – he simply doesn't dodge in a normal way; he dodges like a master, making enemies look silly. I remember one particular chapter – I think it was 'Scorched Sand' – where my main army was getting bogged down, and a wave of enemy reinforcements was closing in from the other side. I sent Joshua practically solo. He was just a whirlwind of blades, landing dead critical quick hits, taking down one enemy after another without breaking a sweat. It felt like this man can carry an army on his team single-handedly. He never missed, always dodged, and his crit animation was practically on repeat. It was a genuine 'wow' moment that solidified his place as my go-to unit for sticky situations. A big part of his strength also comes from his access to powerful swords. Give him a Killing Edge, and it's practically cheating. Every attack becomes a potential critical hit, turning even high-defense enemies into dust. Even with basic Iron Swords, his natural stats make him a formidable force. Compared to other early-game units, especially other melee units, Joshua’s combination of evasion, critical hit rate, and offensive power is just on another level. While Seth is amazing for his early utility, Joshua scales into the late game as an unstoppable force. In my opinion, Joshua's journey from a humble Myrmidon to an elite Swordmaster makes him one of the best characters in the game, if not the best. He makes challenging chapters manageable and is an absolute blast to use. If you're struggling with a particular map in Sacred Stones or just want to experience what true power feels like, invest in Joshua. You won't regret having this badass sword master on your team; he'll carry you through anything!
