Ditch the physical T-money card in Korea!

1/8 Edited to

... Read moreWhen I first visited Korea, I almost bought a physical T-money card from Klook, but I’m glad I discovered that Apple users can now add T-money directly to their Apple Wallet. This app-based option is so convenient, especially if you want to avoid the hassle of carrying a separate card. Here’s what I found useful: First, download the official T-money app from the App Store. Then, add the T-money card to your Apple Wallet by swiping right on it in the app and selecting "Add to Wallet." You can top up your balance using cash at ATMs that accept MasterCard or with a linked payment card for smooth reloads. I appreciated enabling Express Travel mode, which lets you simply tap your iPhone on the reader without unlocking the wallet every time you board buses or subways. It works seamlessly, making commuting stress-free. If you ever face issues adding the card to Apple Wallet, ensure your iPhone iOS is up to date and the T-money app is the latest version. Some users have reported difficulties due to outdated software, and updating resolved the problem. Also, if you want to check or withdraw your T-money balance, the app provides clear instructions along with options to manage your card details. This definitely beats managing a physical card that can get lost or damaged. Overall, using T-money via Apple Wallet is a game-changer for travelers, offering an easy and efficient way to navigate Korea’s extensive public transport network. I highly recommend giving this a try on your next trip to Korea!
