💬 ARC Review: More Than My Mistakes by Amanda Line

I just finished this and… wow.

This story gave me all the feels — heartbreak, healing, and hope, all wrapped in a slow-burning emotional journey. Amanda Linette does such a beautiful job writing flawed, complex characters who feel real.

This book isn’t about perfection. It’s about growth, forgiveness, and giving yourself permission to move forward. The characters’ chemistry is undeniable, but what stuck with me most was the emotional honesty. It felt like a quilt unraveling, in the best way.

🧡 If you enjoy:

— Second chances

— Healing after trauma

— Layered friendships

— Woman empowering each other

Add this to your TBR. I already want to re-read it with a highlighter.

📖 Rating: 5/5 ❤️

... Read moreStepping into the world of 'More Than My Mistakes' by Amanda Linette was truly an experience that resonated deep within me. As an ARC reader, I felt privileged to embark on this journey even before its official release on June 6th, 2025. This isn't just another romance; it's a profound exploration of what it means to truly heal, to embrace your flaws, and to find redemption when you least expect it. The initial review touched on the heartbreak, healing, and hope, but I want to dive a little deeper into why these themes felt so authentic. The characters, especially RIA and ONYX, are crafted with such intricate detail that their struggles and triumphs become your own. Their flaws aren't weaknesses but rather the very fabric that makes them relatable and human. I found myself rooting for them, not because they were perfect, but because they were striving for growth and forgiveness, both for themselves and for others. One of the most powerful aspects for me was the portrayal of second chances. It's not just about romantic reconciliation; it's about the opportunity to rewrite your own narrative, to shed past mistakes, and to step into a future built on self-love and newfound strength. The book beautifully illustrates that healing after trauma is a messy, non-linear process, but ultimately, it's a journey worth taking. The emotional honesty woven through every page made me feel like I was right there with them, experiencing every difficult conversation and every small victory. And let's talk about woman empowerment. This story isn't just about individual growth; it's also about the strength found in female connections and the power of women uplifting each other. The layered friendships add so much depth, showing how a strong support system can be instrumental in personal transformation. It reminded me that sometimes, the greatest love stories are the ones we build with ourselves and the incredible women in our lives. If you're someone who appreciates a slow-burn emotional journey, complex characters who feel incredibly real, and a narrative that champions self-love and forgiveness, then 'More Than My Mistakes' is absolutely for you. Mark your calendars for June 6th, 2025, because this book is more than a read; it's an experience that will stay with you long after you've turned the final page. I already know I'll be revisiting these characters and their powerful story, highlighter in hand, to soak in every beautiful, vulnerable moment again.
