the brewing ground • highly rated cafe @ joochiat
the brewing ground is a cafe nestled among private residential areas and within a school compound! the place was still pretty packed even though we had a pretty late lunch around 3pm ish on a Sunday afternoon and had a steady inflow of people even at 4ish!! would imagine it being pretty packed during typical lunch hours! bonus about the place is that it has an outdoor area which is pet friendly!!! (bonus doggie photo at the end)
food was pretty good at typical cafe prices 😋 our fav was the crab pasta but all the food was honestly not bad!! prices stated are before service charge & gst
1) crab pasta - $26 😋😋😋😋
a little expensive but this is a crab dish sooo justifiable price point? it felt like the tagliatelle noodles were handmade with just right texture! tobiko added a good burst of flavour & the base was creamy with a good crab & slight tomato flavour to it!! definitely a must-order if you love crab + tomato!!!
2) garlic butter aglio olio - $16 😋😋😋
the butter & cheese flavour was definitely on a stronger side which is good for sharing but might get a little jelak if eating entirely alone. the tomato definitely did help to reduce the cheesiness by adding a touch of tanginess!!
3) mentaiko fries - $14 😋😋😋😋
the fries were sooo crispy!!!! mentaiko sauce was also pretty generous!! portion felt just nice for sharing of 3 pax! recommended to order for mentaiko lovers~
4) iced white - $6.50 ($5.50 if without ice) 😋😋😋 + 0.5
pretty decent coffee, just the right amount of milk with the right bitterness! (as someone who doesn’t like americano at all and only drinks ice latte with blue bottle setting the bar)
would definitely want to be back to try other food!~
opening hours: 8.30am - 5pm daily
