Going to miss the bump🤰🏽

I'm so close to meeting my little one, and while I'm thrilled, there's definitely a bittersweet feeling about saying goodbye to this baby bump! Being 37 weeks along with my third baby boy has certainly been a unique ride. Every pregnancy is different, and this one has thrown a few surprises my way, like developing varicose veins – something I never expected! It makes you realize how much our bodies adapt and change. Speaking of body changes, I've been thinking a lot about the 'post-bump' phase, especially when people search things like '1 year postpartum body'. It's wild how much your body transforms during pregnancy, and then again after delivery. My first two pregnancies taught me that recovery is a journey, not a race. It’s about celebrating what your body just accomplished, rather than rushing back to a 'pre-baby' state. I've gained about 12 lbs this time around, which feels different from my previous pregnancies where I had no cravings. Now, I just want to eat all the time! I think it's important to be kind to ourselves during this time, whether you're dealing with a changing physique or navigating new motherhood. Some of the queries I’ve seen, like 'low carrying pregnancy' or 'pregnant over 50', really highlight the diverse experiences women have. While my pregnancy isn't considered 'low carrying,' I know many women worry about how their bump looks or feels. It reminds me that every body carries a baby differently, and what's 'normal' is incredibly broad. And for those who might be considering pregnancy later in life, or are inspired by stories of women 'pregnant over 50', it’s a powerful reminder that age can be just a number when it comes to family building, though it definitely brings its own set of considerations. As for baby names, it's still TBD for our little guy! Even though my digital announcement photo had 'Baby Morgan' on it, we're still tossing around ideas. It's such a big decision, right? I love hearing suggestions, so feel free to drop your favorites! These last few weeks are all about nesting and getting everything ready for his arrival, set for February 8, 2024. I’m just trying to soak up every kick and flutter before he makes his grand entrance. It's truly a magical (and sometimes challenging!) journey, and I wouldn't trade these moments for anything.
