Dips & Sips Reading Club

This book is bougie, but complicated. It has sunny parts, but definitely spends most of its time putting the Storm Family in the stormiest of situations. It’s a perfect selection for a Book Club looking for a fast read with love, loss and challenging yet satisfying family dynamics. It’s the type of book that leaves you yearning for lost friendships to be mended and forbidden loves to become permitted. I loved this book so much and had to share how I would host a book club to talk with my besties about it. The Whipped Feta & Roasted Tomato Dip offers a delightful savory treat, blending creamy, tangy feta with the sweetness and depth of roasted cherry tomatoes infused with garlic and herbs. This pairing not only satisfies guests’ palates but also encourages communal sharing, much like the book’s themes of mended friendships and family ties. Complementing the dip is the Blackberry Lavender Lemonade, a uniquely flavored beverage combining tart blackberries and aromatic lavender extract with fresh lemon juice. This refreshing drink can be enjoyed with or without vodka, catering to all preferences and enhancing the summery, stormy mood evoked in the novel. To enrich the discussion, consider preparing book club questions that delve into the nuances of the Storm family’s struggles and triumphs.
