Bought a house at 33…here’s the tea

I always dreamed about being a homeowner, but the thought of it and taking the steps to accomplish it was extremely nerve-racking 😬 . It seemed like such a complicated process with a lot of paperwork and words I don’t even understand. I felt so comfortable living in my apartment that I delayed myself from buying a home.

Now, that I’m here, I kind of wish I had done it sooner! 😅 It’s not easy by any means! Those paperwork and words I didn’t understand definitely came into play. I was in a constant state of nerves for weeks! It is an extremely intimidating process.

The truth though, even though it stressed me out, I wasn’t alone. I had an amazing support system behind me through it all. My sister went through it years before me so she’s who I went to for advice. My realtor, a gem of a lady, made the process a breeze for me. She was knowledgeable and encouraging. I did my research, I saved up, and even though I didn’t feel ready, I already was.

You know more than you think. Research, ask questions, use a realtor that friends or some family have used. A good realtor will give you all the tools you need, even recommending the perfect mortgage lender.

Despite the timing, I know I made the right decision for me and I now couldn’t be happier to be a homeowner ☺️
