Is anyone else getting or already overwhelmed with life rn?
I have been for a while now & Iām starting to realize that itās really impacting me in the biggest states of procrastination & my mood.
Thereās many things that I wanna do/learn but it feels like I never really have much free room to do any of it.
I wanna:
ā¢To finally go back to my home uni & finish up my degree(Idk if Iāll be able to afford it)š
ā¢start content creating
ā¢go back to learning crocheting
ā¢learn to drive š
ā¢have another source of income šµ -I thought about investing but would it be a good idea rn?
ā¢The root of my problems is that I want to move out. Iām tired of living at home & just want my own space(Idk if my mental health can take it anymoreš)
Itās too much to worry about especially with the current state of our country is in rn.
To anyone feeling the same way,how are you dealing with it??
... Read moreI totally get how you're feeling right now. That overwhelming sense of dread, the confusion about where to even begin when your to-do list seems endless ā it's a real and common struggle, especially with everything going on in the world. I've been there, feeling stuck in that cycle of procrastination because the sheer volume of things to do paralyzes me, and it definitely impacts my mood.
You mentioned so many ambitious goals: finishing your degree, starting content creation, crocheting again, learning to drive, finding another income source, and ultimately, moving out for your mental health. These aren't small feats! It's completely normal to feel a massive 'task overload' when you're facing such significant life changes and aspirations.
When I'm feeling this way, I've found it incredibly helpful to break down these big, daunting goals into the *tiniest possible steps*. Instead of 'finish my degree,' maybe the first step is just researching financial aid options or emailing an advisor. For content creation, it could be as simple as brainstorming five post ideas or setting up your profile. Even learning to drive ā could you research local driving schools this week? Each small action, no matter how minor, is a step forward, and as that powerful message reminds us, 'Unless you step forward, nothing will change.' These small victories can build momentum and chip away at that feeling of being overwhelmed.
Regarding wanting another income source and investing, that's a smart long-term goal for gaining independence. While investing requires careful thought, you could explore side hustles that align with your interests. Could your content creation skills lead to freelance opportunities? Or perhaps selling handmade crocheted items? Even a small, consistent income stream can make a huge difference in feeling more in control of your finances and moving closer to your goal of your own space. The desire to move out and not feel like a burden on family (家ęć«čæ·ęććććććŖć) is a powerful motivator, and it's a completely valid need for personal growth and mental wellbeing. Start by researching typical living costs in your area ā rent, utilities, groceries. Having a concrete number helps you set realistic savings goals.
Most importantly, please remember to prioritize your mental health. When you feel overwhelmed and confused, it's a sign that you need to pause and recharge. Self-care isn't a luxury; it's essential for sustained effort. What helps you reset? For some, itās a quiet moment, for others, itās connecting with friends, or even just taking a short break to enjoy a silly video. Don't underestimate the power of simply acknowledging your feelings and reaching out, like you're doing here. This 'Let's Chat!' forum is a wonderful space to share these struggles and find support. You're not alone in navigating these complex feelings, and taking even small, deliberate actions can make a huge difference in coping with life's heavy load.
