🟠 Mon brick / red brick
Suitable for
• Bathroom wall
• Small extension work
• Walls that require heavy weight, such as hanging kitchen cabinets
✔️ very strong.
✔️ easy to drill
✔️ endure all weather.
✔️ cheap price per loaf.
❌ very high heat accumulation.
The house will be hot at night.
❌ construction is slow because of small cubes.
❌ waste of wages and cement.
🟠 light mass brick
Modern home favorite. Focus on being comfortable.
Suitable for
• Overall wall
• Bedroom
• Condo
• Town Home
✔️ excellent heat resistance.
There are bubbles inside.
Lightweight ✔️. Save structure.
✔️ big chunk works quickly.
✔️ pretty smooth walls.
❌ not very cheap with moisture.
If plastered badly, may mold

🟠 Millennial Brick / Nano Block Brick / Interlocking Brick
It is prestressed concrete with a hole in the middle and has locked fangs (Interlocking) resembling a Lego connector.

It's like an "upgraded draft Mon brick."

หลายคนถามผมบ่อยว่า “อิฐแบบไหนดีที่สุด” จริงๆ ไม่มีคำตอบตายตัวครับ แต่มีวิธีเลือกให้ “เหมาะกับงาน” และคุมงบได้ โดยเฉพาะ 4 เรื่องที่คนค้นหาแล้วตัดสินใจยาก: อิฐมวลเบา ข้อดีข้อเสีย, อิฐบล็อกราคา 3 บาท, ก่ออิฐมวลเบาไม่มีทับหลังได้ไหม และอิฐแทนบริคเหมาะกับใคร 1) อิฐมวลเบา ข้อดีข้อเสีย (แบบใช้งานจริง) ข้อดีที่ผมเห็นชัดคือบ้านเย็นขึ้นจริง โดยเฉพาะห้องนอน/ผนังทิศตะวันตก และก้อนใหญ่ทำให้งานไว ผนังค่อนข้างเรียบ ฉาบแล้วสวย แต่ข้อเสียที่มักพลาดกันคือ “แพ้ความชื้นถ้างานฉาบ/กันซึมไม่ดี” จุดเสี่ยงคือผนังนอกที่โดนฝนสาด, ผนังห้องน้ำ, รอยต่อวงกบ และจุดเดินท่อ ถ้าจะใช้อิฐมวลเบากับพื้นที่ชื้น แนะนำกำชับช่างเรื่องปูนก่อเฉพาะ, การฉาบให้เต็มไม่โพรง, เก็บรอยต่อรอบวงกบ และทาสีกันซึม/ระบบกันซึมในห้องน้ำให้ครบ นอกจากนี้เรื่องการแขวนของหนักต้องใช้ “พุกเฉพาะอิฐมวลเบา” และเผื่อแผ่นเสริม/คานท้องช้างในตำแหน่งตู้แขวนตั้งแต่แบบโครงสร้าง จะจบงานกว่า 2) อิฐบล็อกราคา 3 บาท จริงไหม? ราคา “ต่อก้อน” อาจเจอโปรฯ หรือบางพื้นที่ขายถูกมาก (เช่นบล็อกหนาไม่มาก/เกรดทั่วไป) แต่เวลาคิดงบทั้งผนังผมจะดู 3 อย่างเพิ่ม: ความหนา (7/9/14 ซม.), เกรดกำลังอัด, และ “ค่าแรง+ปูนฉาบ” เพราะบล็อกมักต้องฉาบหนาเพื่อเก็บผิวและกันซึม พอสรุปทั้งระบบแล้วบางงานไม่ได้ถูกกว่าที่คิด เหมาะสุดกับรั้ว โรงรถ โกดัง หรือผนังที่ไม่เน้นกันเสียง/กันร้อนมาก 3) ก่ออิฐมวลเบา “ไม่มีทับหลัง” ได้ไหม? ในงานหน้างาน ผมไม่แนะนำให้เหมารวมว่าไม่ต้องมีทับหลังครับ เพราะช่องเปิด (ประตู/หน้าต่าง) คือจุดรวมแรง หากไม่มีทับหลังหรือโครงเสริมที่ถูกต้อง เสี่ยงร้าวเหนือวงกบและผนังแอ่นได้ ทางที่ปลอดภัยคือให้วิศวกรกำหนดรายละเอียดตามขนาดช่องเปิด ความยาวผนัง และระบบโครงสร้าง (มีเสาเอ็น/คานเอ็นหรือไม่) บางกรณีใช้ทับหลังสำเร็จ/เหล็กเสริมเฉพาะตำแหน่งก็ช่วยให้ผนังนิ่งขึ้นมาก 4) อิฐแทนบริค (Tanbrick) เหมาะกับใคร? ผมมองว่าแทนบริคเป็นทางเลือกกลางๆ ระหว่าง “ความทน/แข็งแรงแบบอิฐมอญ” กับ “ทำงานไวขึ้น” เพราะก้อนใหญ่และมีช่องอากาศ ช่วยลดการอมร้อนเมื่อเทียบอิฐแดงล้วน เหมาะกับบ้านที่อยากได้ผนังทนแดดทนฝน งานภายนอกที่อยากลดปัญหาร้าว/เสื่อมเร็ว แต่ต้องเช็คงบเพราะราคาสูงกว่าอิฐมอญ และน้ำหนักมากกว่าอิฐมวลเบา ควรคุยกับผู้ออกแบบเรื่องน้ำหนักและโครงสร้างให้ชัด สรุปแบบเลือกเร็ว: ถ้าเน้นอยู่สบาย-ผนังภายในส่วนใหญ่ให้อิฐมวลเบา แต่ต้องคุมงานฉาบ/กันซึมและเตรียมจุดแขวนของหนักให้ดี; ถ้าเป็นรั้ว/อาคารรองให้อิฐบล็อกคุมงบ; ถ้าอยากได้ความทนแบบดินเผาแต่งานไวขึ้นลองดูอิฐแทนบริค ส่วนผนังที่โดนชื้นจัด (ห้องน้ำ/ฝนสาด) ให้ให้ความสำคัญกับระบบกันซึมและรายละเอียดงานมากกว่า “ชนิดอิฐ” อย่างเดียวครับ
