My biggest tip? Invest in quality brushes – they make a huge difference, especially when you start attempting detailed work. 2. Master the Foundations Before the Flair: Before you dream of creating intricate 3D designs or those cool Halloween-themed nails, dedicate serious time to perfecting your basic techniques. This means nail prep, proper product application (whether it's gel or acrylic), and most importantly, shaping! I spent so many hours just practicing filing perfect square, coffin-shaped, and almond-shaped nails. Getting that crisp free edge and smooth surface is fundamental. Once you nail these, more complex designs like square French tip nails or even delicate spotted patterns become much easier. 3.
