Additionally, staying in Balasana for three to five minutes invites a meditative quality, promoting mindfulness. This mindful rest encourages an awareness of feeling supported by the earth beneath you—a sensation that fosters ease and balance in the nervous system. For anyone dealing with moments of tension or nervous system overload, incorporating Balasana into a daily routine can be an accessible and effective practice.
