A day with your favorite corporate girly 👩💻💅🏻🧚🏻♀️
Starting my workday as a corporate architect involves a vital morning ritual: grabbing a quick cafecito to energize myself before diving into the day's challenges. I typically begin by reading and answering emails, ensuring all communications are clear for the team and clients. Next, I check my calendar and planner to prioritize tasks, many of which revolve around intricate architecture design software like Revit. Revit is an essential tool in my workflow—although it sometimes crashes, I’ve learned to save work frequently and organize my files to minimize data loss. Updating Revit models and resolving redlines assigned to me is a significant part of the day, requiring attention to detail and a calm mindset. Lunch breaks are a welcomed pause, giving me time to refresh and regroup. In architecture, balancing long hours of focused work with short breaks enhances productivity. Throughout the day, I collaborate remotely and in-person, often reviewing architectural plans such as concourse designs that measure around 492 square feet. Navigating complex project documents, like PDFs with numerous pages, is routine, so staying organized is critical. Embracing these daily tasks and challenges has helped me grow as a corporate architect. It’s a fulfilling path for those who love combining creativity with technical skills, and who enjoy seeing their designs come to life through software like Revit and teamwork on architectural projects.
