This year my goal is to do everything I’ve been wanting to do for the past few years and haven’t done for whatever reason.😭
Tragus Piercing- I’ve been wanting to get this pierced for years now but unfortunately I get acne around my ear so that has kept me from getting this piercing.
Double nostril piercing- I already have one nostril piercing on each nostril. But I think it’s time for ✌🏽on each side👃
Belly button piercing- I used to have my belly button pierced prior to having my daughters so now that I don’t plan on having babies any time soon I do want to get my belly button re-pierced (is that even a word😭) I don’t know. #Lemon8Diary

... Read moreIt's so exciting to set new personal goals, and for me, 2024 is all about embracing those body modifications I've been dreaming of for ages! There's something incredibly empowering about finally going for something you've wanted, and I'm thrilled to share a bit more about my journey and the details I'm considering for each new piece of sparkle.
First up, the tragus piercing! I've always found them so chic and subtle, adding just a hint of edginess to the ear. My heart is set on something like a minimalist pearl stud or a tiny gold stud, though the idea of a unique snake-shaped stud is super tempting too! One thing that held me back before was dealing with acne around my ear, which made me worry about healing. But after doing some research, I've learned that diligent aftercare – gentle cleaning with saline solution and avoiding harsh products – can really make a difference. Choosing a reputable piercer who can guide me on placement and initial jewelry is key, especially to avoid irritation. I've also been looking into variations like surface tragus or anti-tragus for future ideas, but for now, the classic tragus is calling my name!
Next on my list is the double nostril piercing. I already have a single piercing on each side, but I'm ready to upgrade to a double on both sides. I love the look of symmetrical studs, perhaps tiny, delicate ones for a truly minimalist aesthetic. The options are endless, from elegant rings to various stud designs. When getting a double nostril, placement is crucial to ensure it looks balanced and complements your face. I'll definitely be discussing this with my piercer, maybe even asking for a nose piercing placement diagram beforehand to visualize it. Healing for nostril piercings can take a few months, and it's essential to keep them clean, especially since they're in a high-traffic area. I’m picturing tiny, shiny studs that really elevate the look!
And finally, the much-anticipated belly button piercing! I actually had one before I had my daughters, so I'm incredibly excited to get it re-pierced. It feels like reclaiming a part of my identity and adding a fun, playful touch to my look. This time around, I'm thinking about a simple stud to start, but I've seen some absolutely gorgeous designs like a delicate heart charm or even an intricate snake design that wraps around. A sparkly butterfly charm would also be so cute for summer! For anyone considering a navel piercing, especially if it's a re-piercing, it's good to remember that healing can be a bit sensitive, and loose clothing is your best friend. I'm looking forward to flaunting it at the beach and feeling confident again.
Overall, these piercings aren't just about the aesthetics; they're about embracing new experiences and celebrating personal growth. If you’re considering new piercings, my biggest advice is always to research your piercer, understand the aftercare, and choose jewelry that truly reflects your style. Here’s to a year of making dreams come true – what piercings are on your wishlist?
