Want one? Here’s where to buy one

Here’s a couple places to buy it and as much as I love Amazon, it’s not one of them.

African net sponges are made 100% of nylon, no other added materials. Most of them are made and imported from African countries to the west so most likely if you’re not buying from African sellers, they’re not real.

I’ve bought a few off Amazon because I didn’t want to drive to go buy one but found out quickly that they weren’t real. The listings usually say “100% nylon” but when you get them they’re very rigid and feel like plastic and made with undisclosed ingredients. Do not buy these. They’re really harsh and cause tears on the skin.

where to buy genuine net sponges:

1. African market, you’ll find authentic sponges here and they’re usually cheaper than anywhere online

2. Tik Tok Shop (a lot of small vendors and import sellers have opened tik tok shops so it’s pretty easy to find authentic ones on there). They’re usually more expensive to account for shipping, demand and quality but they’re real.

3. Online vendors, aside from tik tom shop sellers, there are also small businesses that sell it online. You just have to do some research to find them. They’re also a bit pricier again for the reasons above.

4. African countries, this one is tough but if you’re traveling abroad, you can definitely pick one up for super cheap.
