My Hydration Helpers
Staying hydrated is one of the hardest things for me to do. I’m always on the move with work, carrying my laptop, notebook and anything else I need to the floor. Carrying a water bottle is always put to the side and left on my desk. Water isn’t enough sometimes and rather than turning to sugary drinks and sodas, I opt for sugar free liquid IV. I found the sugar free Pedialyte recently and LOVE it! Found it to be a great choice for those extra hot days and the flavor isn’t off putting. I find myself pouring myself a glass before bed as if it were a night cap!
I also found that the sugar free liquid IV flavors can be, well, strange (in my opinion). The three I found delicious are the green grape, rainbow sherbet and my all time favorite- white peach. Hope this helps if you are also needing a little hydration help!

Staying hydrated throughout the day without reaching for sugary drinks can feel like a constant battle, trust me, I've been there! While I absolutely adore my sugar-free Liquid IV and Pedialyte (especially those delicious white peach and rainbow sherbet flavors!), I've also discovered a few other tricks and zero-sugar electrolyte water drink options that help me stay on track, even on the busiest days. One of my favorite ways to boost my hydration without added sugar is simply infusing water. It’s incredibly easy and adds a refreshing twist. Think cucumber and mint for a spa-like feel, or lemon and ginger for a zesty kick. Just chop up your favorite fruits or herbs, pop them into a pitcher of water, and let it chill. It makes drinking water so much more enjoyable! Another go-to for me is unsweetened iced tea. Whether it’s a classic black tea, a soothing herbal blend, or a vibrant green tea, brewing it and chilling it in the fridge provides a fantastic low-sugar alternative. Just be mindful of caffeine if you're drinking it later in the day. For those times when I crave a bit of fizz, sparkling water with a tiny splash of real fruit juice (like a teaspoon of cranberry or lime) does the trick. It gives you that satisfying bubbly texture without all the sugar found in sodas. You can also find various brands offering zero-sugar electrolyte water drinks in different flavors, sometimes even in convenient ready-to-drink bottles, which are perfect for grab-and-go. Beyond just the drinks, I've learned that making hydration a habit is key. My number one tip? Always have your drink visible. Whether it's a stylish water bottle on your desk or a stack of those sugar-free electrolyte mix packets next to your coffee machine, seeing it reminds you to drink. I often fill a clear bottle with my chosen zero-sugar electrolyte water drink in the morning, and it acts as a visual cue throughout the day. I've also found that setting gentle reminders on my phone helps a lot. A quick ping every hour or two encourages me to take a few sips. And don't forget about hydrating foods! Fruits like watermelon, strawberries, and oranges, and vegetables like cucumber and celery, all contribute significantly to your daily fluid intake and come packed with natural vitamins and minerals. Why bother with low-sugar hydration? For me, it's all about sustained energy and avoiding that dreaded sugar crash. Electrolytes, like those found in the mix packets (some even come in a tasty fruit punch flavor!) or other electrolyte drinks, are crucial for everything from muscle function to maintaining mental clarity, especially when it's hot or you're exercising. They help replace what your body loses, keeping you balanced and feeling your best. Finding what works for you, experimenting with different flavors, and making it a fun part of your routine will make all the difference in achieving all-day, low-sugar hydration.
