ADHD helpers

ADHD isn't always fun. There are several times throughout the month, week, day even that I just feel completely destroyed by it.

And so, over the years, I've developed or learned some easy shifts to add in when I'm feeling like it is just too much.

There are times where I give into the frozen state and do nothing all day and there are times when I must push on and so having these tools to get out of the funk have been life changing. #lemon8partner #adhdinwomen #adhdlife #adhdhacks

... Read moreADHD can often feel overwhelming, leaving individuals struggling to cope with day-to-day life. One effective strategy is leaning on your 'safe person'—someone you trust completely and don’t have to mask around. This can provide significant emotional support and relieve some of the pressure. Another helpful approach is incorporating physical activity into your routine. Engaging in movement, even if it means going for a short walk, can dramatically improve your mood and mental state. Sunshine and fresh air can work wonders in breaking the cycle of lethargy that often accompanies ADHD challenges. Moreover, establishing a consistent mindfulness or meditation practice can also be beneficial. These practices can help ground you, reduce anxiety, and improve focus by training your mind to remain present. Setting small, achievable goals is key—celebrating these small wins can build confidence and motivate you to keep pushing forward. Finally, consider joining support groups where you can share experiences with others facing similar ADHD challenges. Connecting with like-minded individuals can remind you that you are not alone and that effective coping strategies can indeed pave the way to a fulfilling life despite ADHD.
