What’s your favorite shampoo and conditioner?

I’m trying to find the best shampoo and conditioner that helps with dry ends and keep your hair healthy overall.

I’ve been doing my research and came across multiple posts on this sub about everyone’s favorites, but the posts were years ago and I’ve checked on mostly all products everyone suggested & sadly it seems like the ingredients have changed which caused the quality to lessen.

Many people suggested Redken’s all soft, but the formula and quality changed. L’oréal’s total shampoo’s formula has also changed too.

Any god suggestions?

Read moreFinding the perfect shampoo and conditioner when you're battling dry ends and aiming for overall healthy hair can feel like a never-ending quest, especially when trusted formulas suddenly change! I completely relate to the frustration of product quality shifting. It makes you wonder how to even begin your search again. But don't worry, armed with a little knowledge, we can navigate the ever-evolving world of hair care. What to Look For: Hydrating Heroes When your hair is crying out for moisture, the right ingredients can make all the difference. I've learned to scan ingredient lists for powerful hydrators. Look for natural oils like argan oil, jojoba oil, and coconut oil, which are fantastic for penetrating the hair shaft and providing deep nourishment. Humectants such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid are also superstars, drawing moisture from the air into your hair. Proteins like keratin or silk amino acids can help strengthen strands and repair damage, which is crucial for those pesky dry ends. When I'm checking out products like the L'Oréal Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo or looking for something similar, I always check if these beneficial ingredients are high up on the list. What to Avoid (or Use Sparingly): Just as important as knowing what to include is knowing what to skip. For dry hair, I personally try to avoid shampoos with harsh sulfates (like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate), as they can strip natural oils, leaving hair even drier. While not inherently bad, some heavy silicones can also build up over time, making your hair feel greasy and weighed down, rather than truly moisturized. It's all about balance and understanding what your hair truly needs. Beyond the Bottle: Holistic Hair Health Achieving healthy hair isn't just about the products you use in the shower. I've found that how you apply them matters too! Focus shampoo on your scalp and let the rinse wash down to your ends. For conditioner, concentrate on the mid-lengths and ends. Deep conditioning treatments, like the Pantene Miracle Rescue Deep Conditioning Treatment, can be a game-changer once or twice a week. Also, heat styling is a big culprit for dry ends, so I always use a heat protectant and try to air dry when possible. Don't forget about your diet! Hydration from within and nutrient-rich foods contribute significantly to hair health. Navigating Formula Changes & New Discoveries The hardest part, as I mentioned, is when a beloved product changes. If you're wondering if a product like L'Oréal Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner is still effective after a formula update, my advice is to always look at the most recent reviews. See what people are saying *now*, not just years ago. Compare the current ingredient list to previous versions if you can find them, and always pay attention to how your hair feels after using a new product for a few washes. Sometimes, a change isn't necessarily bad, but it might mean it's no longer the best fit for your hair. It's an ongoing journey of trial and error, but with a bit of research and listening to your hair, you’ll find those amazing products that truly transform your dry ends into healthy, vibrant strands. Keep experimenting and sharing your finds – we're all in this together!

I have been using the Pantene Moisture and I’ve been bleaching my hair and I put heat on it every day. I’ll use the Pantene moisture shampoo and then I’ll use that deep conditioner as my conditioner instead of the actual conditioner.
