What is one “never have, never will” thing for you

I had emergency surgery in 2021 - a massively painful surgery and woke up with a morphine drip (with that little clicker button) and a catheter in my thigh for oxycodone (I was nil by mouth so everything had to be IV).

The FIRST thing I remember saying on the phone to my mom was ""I feel so badly for people addicted to opiods - I can absolutely see how easily it could happen""

Seriously. You might not think it could happen to you but those chemicals are insane.

I’ve been sober from opioids for 14 years. Gave birth to 5 children and had multiple surgeries and refused to take any pain medication besides ibuprofen and Tylenol with every single one. The temptation is still there but my willpower is so much stronger now. ❤️
