Anyone ever witness a dramatic quit/firing at work
I only had 4 jobs since I was 17. I stayed 1 to 2 years each, then was a SAHM way longer than planned. So my work drama list is super short. At my 2012 to 2014 law office job, a coworker (older lady) bragged about flipping off the boss on her last day. I was shocked. My every quit’s been boringly normal.
I never got fired (lowk terrified I’d cry if I did) but once a boss tried to make me sign a write up. I said no, he yelled “You just want unemployment!” then I softened: “We’re family, let’s fix this.” Ended up negotiating later start times. So random. Now as a social worker, my manager’s always spouting stories about people getting fired in crazy ways.
Humor a girl who’s had more kid duty than career time. What’s the most dramatic quit/firing you’ve seen (or lived)?

At a retail job I had in college a coworker who’d been miserable for months showed up to her shift, grabbed the store’s loudspeaker, and announced “I QUIT”… then proceeded to list all the boss’s most annoying habits before walking out. The whole store went dead quiet for a second, then everyone started laughing.
