We play by rules we never agreed to
Society’s just a massive cage and everyone’s acting like it’s normal. None of us asked to be born into this mess, yet we’re forced to play by rules we never agreed to. We have to work just to survive, sell our time for money, then pay taxes on that same cash. Act like our true selves? You’re “mentally ill” or “unstable.” Want to opt out? “You’re depressed, need help.” Bullshit.
And everyone accepts it. School trains you to be a compliant worker. Family pressures you to “fit in.” Jobs demand conformity. Every institution locks us into predictability, stripping our individuality. Who’s truly free? We're just pretending we’re free, ignoring the chains we’ve normalized.
I’m either numb or drowning in how messed up this is like I see through the facade no one else questions. Is there any real freedom when our choices are just what the system allows? Anyone else feel suffocated by this “normal” we’re all forced to swallow?
