Owning a butcher shop✨

Here is my husband and I’s day in the life as owners of a butcher shop! My husband is the main butcher there as well so he puts in WAY more hours than I do (as I also have a separate job too)!

Our days usually begin by creating a post featuring one of our products, a sale, an event, or a reminder to post onto our social media page as that is our main form of advertising!

Then we organize our orders for product, pick it up or get it delivered (depending on size), we restock our retail shop with fresh product as well!

My husband then spends the majority of the day doing the actual “butchering” which is NOT the kill part of the process. His job is to take the carcass and trim fat, bones, or any other bad parts off so we don’t consume it! (Don’t worry he doesn’t waste this) he then wraps them or vacuum seals the cuts of meat and puts them out to sell!

Our shop does boxes that our customers can buy and refill at a discounted price so we are constantly refilling those or making new ones!

We also try to raise our own chickens, cows, turkeys, and pigs on the farm to sell. This summer we built a chicken “trailer” to help our chickens grow in the final stages!

Business ownership is hard work! It’s a 7 day a week job and are very long days but we love it and are proud of our shop!
