How I stay organized as a full time working mom 💪

I work 40+ hours a week and volunteer as a board member, all while raising my 2 year old son and it can be a handful sometimes!

My husband is self employed and works close to 70 hours a week so most the time it’s me running the errands, cleaning the house, picking our son up, and making dinner. Which can definitely be a full time job in itself too!

The key to staying on top of it for me is staying to a schedule for both work and my household chores. I also keep a planner to ensure I don’t forget anything. If I write it down I can allow it to leave my head for a later date! 😅

Communication between my husband and our babysitter and my boss is also huge! I try to communicate as much as possible to make sure everyone understands my needs and I can understand what they need from me!!

How do you balance your busy life? Do you have any secret tips for staying on top of things???

... Read moreBalancing a demanding job with family responsibilities can feel overwhelming. Many full-time working moms face similar challenges—long hours at work, household duties, parenting young children, and sometimes volunteering or additional commitments. One effective way to maintain sanity amid the chaos is by establishing a structured daily and weekly routine that clearly outlines priorities and allocates time for work tasks, family needs, and self-care. Using a planner or digital calendar is a vital tool in this process. Writing down appointments, deadlines, errands, and family events helps reduce mental clutter and ensures nothing important is overlooked. Many moms also benefit from setting reminders on their phones for tasks like picking up their child or making dinner. Prioritizing and breaking down chores into small manageable steps can make large household tasks feel more achievable. Communication plays an essential role in managing a busy household. Keeping an open dialogue with partners, babysitters, supervisors, and coworkers facilitates understanding and coordination. For example, sharing schedules with your spouse and babysitter ensures everyone is aligned on daily routines and expectations. Similarly, informing your boss about your commitments can help in managing workloads and deadlines effectively. It’s also important to recognize the value of asking for support and delegating tasks when possible. Whether it’s sharing errands with your spouse, leaning on family members, or outsourcing certain responsibilities, getting help can ease the load and help maintain balance. Practicing self-compassion and taking intentional breaks helps prevent burnout, allowing you to recharge and stay motivated. Incorporating these strategies can transform the hectic pace into a more manageable, organized flow. Many working moms find that creating a system tailored to their unique needs and lifestyle enables them to thrive both at work and home. What works best will vary for each family, but consistency, communication, and planning remain key cornerstones to effectively juggling a busy life.
