Book Review
***Spoilers***
Starting with the fact that this book had no trigger warnings, and absolutely should have them as it got dark and twisted.
Second, I picked it up as it had a red and white bracelet on the cover. In my country those are traditional bracelets we give each other for health and protection in March. Clearly this was not the case here.
Now to the book: No wonder the killer got away, the detective was terrible 🤣
Too many coincidences in this book, it became unbelievable. Blackdown may be a small place, but London sure isn't, how did all those people meet there. The amount of cheating and excusing it as well. It wasn't that hard to guess who the killer will turn out to be from the moment dementia was mentioned. I didn't like the characters, so I was kind of rooting for the killer! With the two perspectives I thought we will get more accusations, but that wasn't happening as well.
The thing that pissed me the most was that the actual victim of the events that happened years ago, was blackmailed and threatened only cause she got the FMC's job. It could have been cliche of her coming back for revenge but it would have been 100% understandable and fulfilling, and a lot more believable than who the actual killer was.
