In my personal journey of discipleship, I've found that building genuine relationships with fellow believers, especially sisters in Christ, deeply enriches my faith experience. It can be challenging when past church experiences cause pain or doubt, but focusing on Jesus Himself—rather than flawed human institutions—brings clarity and peace. Discipleship is more than attendance or surface-level involvement; it’s about living out Jesus’ teachings intentionally every day. I’ve learned that embracing Jesus as holy, mighty, and loving empowers me to reflect those qualities in my life. Connecting with others who share this heart creates a support system where we encourage one another to grow spiritually. Using platforms and communities dedicated to discipleship can be a transformative way to share faith journeys and challenges openly. When we acknowledge our imperfections and the church's shortcomings but keep Jesus at the center, it allows for healing and real spiritual growth. This has motivated me to be transparent about my struggles while intentionally fostering trust and connection with sisters in Christ. Ultimately, discipleship involves continual surrender to Jesus’ sovereignty and love, enabling us to live authentically and purposefully. By sharing our experiences and supporting each other, we strengthen not only individual faith but also the broader body of Christ. I encourage anyone facing church hurt or spiritual doubt to lean into this discipleship process, focused on Jesus, because it’s through Him that true healing and deep connection happen.
