OMG, you guys! Seriously, I'm still pinching myself after our last Disney trip. Replying to my friend Ashlyn Herring's fantastic Disney tips, we had an experience that truly felt like getting 'pixie dusted'! Our stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort was already booked, and we were so excited for our Little Mermaid room, but then... BOOM! A free upgrade to a Cars Family Suite! Can you even imagine? It was like hitting the Disney jackpot and we felt so incredibly spoiled! Let me tell you more about this amazing Cars Family Suite. If you or your kids are fans of Lightning McQueen, Mater, and the whole crew from Radiator Springs, this suite is a dream come true. The theming is just incredible, from the moment you step inside. The main bedroom has a comfy queen bed, but the living room transforms into a second sleeping area, often with a pull-down bed and a sofa bed. This means plenty of space for a family, unlike a standard hotel room. My kids absolutely loved the separate areas – it felt like having our own little apartment in Disney World. The decor is vibrant and playful, with nods to the movie everywhere. We even saw details that reminded us of characters like Filmore in the design! Waking up to the serene view this morning of the themed courtyard was just magical. Beyond the suite, the Art of Animation Resort itself is a fantastic choice for families. It's one of Disney's Value resorts, but it truly delivers on immersive theming. You can explore larger-than-life characters and scenes from Finding Nemo, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and, of course, Cars. The Big Blue Pool in the Finding Nemo section is the largest resort pool at Disney World, complete with an underwater sound system! There are also two other quieter themed pools. One of the biggest perks of staying at Art of Animation is its direct access to the Disney Skyliner. This gondola system makes getting to Epcot and Hollywood Studios incredibly quick and easy – no more waiting for buses! It's such a time-saver and adds another fun, unique experience to your trip. When it comes to dining, the Landscape of Flavors food court offers a wide variety of options, from classic burgers and pizza to more unique international dishes, catering to everyone's tastes. We found it perfect for quick breakfasts before hitting the parks and relaxed dinners after a long day. Honestly, if you're planning a family vacation to Disney World, especially with younger kids who adore these Pixar and Disney classics, I highly recommend checking into Disney's Art of Animation. Even if you don't get a 'pixie dusted' upgrade, the standard rooms and the overall resort experience are truly memorable. It's a place where the magic of the movies comes to life, making it an unforgettable part of your Disney adventure. We loved this space and felt so spoiled!
