Why Did This Happen?

I know you’re wrestling with your valley experience.

You’re asking, “Why did this happen?” or “What did I do to deserve this?”

Here are TWO things David made crystal clear in this verse:

1. He didn’t say IF you walk through the valley… he said WHEN.

That means the valley is real but it’s not FINAL.

You won’t STAY there.

You won’t DIE there.

You will walk THROUGH there.

2. David called it the SHADOW of death and there can’t be a SHADOW without LIGHT

You can rest assured that GOD’S PRESENCE is evident in your valley.

He still shows up in your darkness.

So don’t grow weary in a season that God only assigned you to PASS THROUGH. KEEP WALKING.

GOD WILL PROVIDE.
