Love Should Feel Safe

Healing changes standers. Love isn’t supposed to drain you, confuse you, or weigh you down. It should feel safe. Period.

... Read moreFrom my personal experience, learning that love should feel safe was a turning point in my emotional well-being. For a long time, I mistook love that left me feeling drained and overwhelmed as normal. However, through dedicated inner work and boosting my self-worth, I realized that love is not meant to confuse or weigh you down—it should feel secure and supportive. Healing changes standards. When you prioritize yourself and set healthy boundaries, relationships evolve from being sources of stress to places of refuge. This journey helped me understand that love, at its core, is about safety. This means feeling valued, heard, and respected, which creates a foundation for trust and peace. If you find yourself questioning your relationship or feeling unsettled, it's important to reflect on whether the love you are experiencing feels safe. Sometimes, doing this kind of inner work can be challenging but rewarding. It often involves recognizing toxic patterns, embracing self-love, and surrounding yourself with supportive people. In the end, fostering self-worth and healing wounds from past experiences empowers you to attract and maintain relationships that nurture your soul rather than drain it. Love should never be a source of confusion—it should be your sanctuary, a place where you feel truly safe and cared for.

Love Should Feel Safe
I hope you fall in love with someone who makes you feel safe at night. Someone who’ll never let you fall asleep wondering if you’re loved. Because real love should bring peace, not questions. If you’ve ever gone to bed with your heart racing over “are we okay?”, you know how big this is.
