I used to think being selfish was a bad thing. That I always had to give, to be available, to say yes even when I was drained.

But the truth is sometimes being selfish is necessary. Protecting your peace isn’t rude, it’s survival.

You can’t pour into everyone else and leave yourself empty. ✨ Choosing yourself isn’t wrong it’s the only way you’ll have the energy to show up fully in the long run.
