Left out after a year of planning?
My friend and I bonded during pregnancy and became super close. For over a year, we talked about going to this local club together. When she finally went (with her husband), she told me how amazing it was and how she wished I was there. So when her college friends came to visit and they planned to go again, my husband offered to watch our kid so I could join. I was excited and texted her that I could come.
She immediately called and said, “I don’t want to split my time between you and my close friends.”
That stung. I wasn’t trying to crash a private dinner. It was a club. Loud. Social. The more the merrier, right? I told her I felt hurt and left out, especially since we planned this together for so long. After that, things just got cold between us. Less effort. Short replies. And when we met months later, she brought it up again, still upset I felt that way.
I get she wanted alone time with her friends. But am I wrong for feeling excluded after all the build-up?

She’s not your friend. She needed a pregnancy friend. Probably felt alone, left out from her other friends. Bonded with you, baby arrived and she’s out of the friendship. Also how do you look aesthetically? Do you fit her friend group? Lots of women are shallow.
