Pulchra is here

Hey everyone! I'm absolutely obsessed with Zenless Zone Zero, and the moment I saw the Sons of Calydon, I knew I had to draw them. It's such a unique faction, and each member has such a distinct visual flair that really sparks my creativity. While I initially focused on Pulchra, I realized I couldn't leave out the rest of the amazing crew. So, here's a little rundown of why I love drawing them and some thoughts on their designs! Starting with Pulchra, she's definitely a fan favorite for a reason. Her signature green eyes peeking from behind that intriguing mask, combined with her powerful stance holding a weapon, just screams 'cool.' Capturing that mysterious yet formidable aura was my main goal, making sure her silhouette felt strong even in a line art drawing. I really enjoyed focusing on the details of her attire and the intricacies of her weapon to give her that distinct ZZZ feel. Then there's Piper, whose flowing long hair and expressive green eyes make her a joy to sketch. I find it fascinating how each character in the Sons of Calydon has these small but impactful details that tell a story. Caesar King, for instance, with his cheeky wink and that striking yellow eyes and star accessory, brings such a charismatic energy to the group. It’s those little personality quirks — like Caesar’s confident smirk or Piper’s serene expression — that I try to emphasize in my fan art, making them feel alive on the page. Lucy, with her bright orange eyes and charming pigtails, is another standout. Her detailed outfit is a challenge but so rewarding to draw, especially getting all those intricate layers and accessories just right. It really shows the depth of character design in Zenless Zone Zero, where even minor elements contribute to a grander aesthetic. And who can forget Lighter? His cool sunglasses and spiky hair give him an undeniable edge. Trying to convey that laid-back yet ready-for-action vibe through just a few lines is always an interesting artistic exercise, pushing me to simplify and yet capture his essence. Finally, Burnice, with those vibrant red and yellow eyes and her distinctive goggles, adds such a dynamic touch to the crew. Each member contributes to the overall aesthetic of the Sons of Calydon, making them a truly memorable group to draw. What I love about ZZZ's character design is how they manage to combine futuristic elements with unique personal styles. It's inspiring for any artist! Through these sketches, I aimed to capture the essence of what makes each of them special within the Zenless Zone Zero universe. I hope these drawings inspire other fans to pick up their sketchbooks too and explore their own interpretations! It's been a blast dedicating time to these characters, and I'm already thinking about my next ZZZ fan art project. The anticipation for the game itself, and seeing these characters in action, only fuels my desire to create more art.
