Taking me through it 😭😭😭
I completely relate to the struggle of forcing myself to eat enough protein, especially after putting in serious hours at the gym. It can be tough because protein-rich foods aren't always the most appealing, and sometimes you might just feel full or unmotivated to eat more. But from my experience, once I started treating protein intake as a critical part of my workout routine, similar to the exercises themselves, my recovery and muscle growth improved significantly. One tip that helped me was meal prepping protein-packed snacks like boiled eggs, Greek yogurt, or protein shakes that are quick and easy to consume when I don't feel like sitting down to a full meal. Also, mixing up protein sources keeps things from getting boring—lean meats, beans, lentils, and even plant-based protein powders have been game changers. Remember, the body needs protein to repair muscles broken down during training, and skipping on it can limit your progress despite the effort in the gym. Setting small daily protein goals and tracking intake using apps made it easier to stay accountable. Most importantly, shifting my mindset to see protein not just as food but as fuel keeping me strong helped me push through days when the motivation was low.
