Collecting trading card games like Pokemon, Final Fantasy, and Magic The Gathering can be an exciting and rewarding hobby, especially when you find unique and rare items to add to your collection. During the first half of March, I focused on expanding my binder with some special pickups, including custom Sakura Card Company cards and some prize packs that offer great value. One interesting aspect of my recent acquisitions was the inclusion of some Magic The Gathering items, even though I don’t regularly collect them. This approach shows how exploring beyond your main collection can introduce you to new cards and styles you might enjoy and perhaps start collecting in the future. For example, some of the bonus Absol cards and gem packs I got were great additions to my Pokemon binder, particularly for completing sets that are important to me. Buying through Whatnot auctions has been a great experience. While not every lot is perfect, it’s exciting to win singles and customs through giveaways, adding variety to my collection. One tip I'd share is to use referral links like mine on Whatnot to get free store credit, which can sometimes make it easier to try out new purchases without spending too much upfront. Additionally, supporting smaller creators by checking out their shops, like my Redbubble store with TCG-themed merchandise, is a rewarding way to connect with the community and keep the passion for TCGs alive. Binder updates are always something I look forward to sharing because completing special themed sets, like the Absol master set, takes time and dedication but is very satisfying. If you are on a budget, don’t worry—there are many ways to gradually expand your collection by combining purchases with giveaways, trades, and buying in bulk. Just remember that the fun of TCG collecting comes from the hunt and the joy of seeing your binder grow into something uniquely yours.
