Zion National Park | Emerald Pools Hike

02.16.24

The bridge across the Zion Lodge that takes you to the main trail is closed, which means you have to cross the river at the Court of the Patriarchs (via the Sand Bench trail) or the Grotto (via the Kayenta trail).

The lower Emerald Pool is also closed due to falling ice and rocks.

This is a moderate level hike and was a little muddy in some places.

Middle Emerald Pool — 2.2 miles (round trip)

Upper Emerald Pool — 3 miles (round trip)
