What to do in Zurich Switzerland! 🇨🇭

Hey everyone! 👋

A throwback to my swiss trip and what I did in Zurich for 2 days!

📍Zurich Old Town - Really loved the vibes there, the old town is quaint and absolutely beautiful. Its lovely walking along the cobblestone streets and admiring well preserved old buildings. Some must places to go is /Grossmünster and /St. Peter church!

📍Läderach Chocolates - For all chocolate lovers out there, this is a MUST BUY!!! They have many flavours and their pralines are really REALLY good 👍👍 A little on the pricier side but you have to try them!!! Läderach has been my no. 1 favourite chocolate brand ever since 😄

📍 Lindt Chocolate Factory 🍫 - One of the fun things to check out in Zurich! Its a little further away from the main area but it is easily accessible by train. You will need to book online for the tour which is just a tour for the museum and not actually the factory itself. The museum was pretty interesting as you get to see the history of chocolates and the BEST PART is you get to EAT LINDT CHOCOLATES FOR FREE! 😋 Definitely recommended if you love chocolates or looking for something fun! 👍

📍Try swiss food - 🚨 Be warned that swiss food is REALLY expensive, especially for a restaurant. Average price we spent for our meals were SGD40++ per person 😥 However food was great though, especially the rosti! Surprisingly the cheese complements very well with the rosti and it was not too oily as I thought. The other food we ate were good too but the best we had was still the rosti. A MUST EAT IN SWISS!! 🍴

... Read moreIf you have more time to explore Zurich beyond the highlights, I highly recommend taking a stroll along the beautiful Limmat river that gracefully runs through the city — it offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Don’t miss a visit to the Kunsthaus Zurich, the city’s impressive art museum boasting an extensive collection of Swiss and international works. For those interested in panoramic views, a short hike or tram ride up to Uetliberg mountain reveals breathtaking vistas over Zurich and the Alps. When it comes to Swiss food, while rosti remains my top pick, I also enjoyed tasting local favorites like Zürcher Geschnetzeltes (veal in cream sauce) and freshly baked Swiss breads. Eating out can be pricey, so look for charming bakeries or street vendors where you can savor delicious treats without breaking the bank. And if you have a sweet tooth, besides Läderach and Lindt, try regional delicacies such as Luxemburgerli macarons from Confiserie Sprüngli. Travel tips: Purchase a Zurich Card if you plan on using public transport frequently; it provides unlimited travel for 24 or 72 hours plus discounts at museums and restaurants. Also, book your Lindt Chocolate factory museum tour online in advance to secure a spot. Finally, wearing comfortable shoes is a must as walking on cobblestone streets is the best way to soak in Zurich’s charm and see all the landmarks like Grossmünster and St. Peter Church up close. Overall, Zurich combines history, culture, and culinary delights in a compact, walkable city perfect for short but fulfilling trips. Whether you’re here for the landmarks or the chocolate, there’s something for every traveler to enjoy.

🛟 float to work when in Bern, Switzerland 🇨🇭
When visiting Switzerland, the cities that come to mind are Zurich & Geneva, but Bern is the capital of Switzerland. The Aare river goes through the city & if you come across tik tok content saying Swiss people jump into a river & float to work in the summer, well, this is the river!
