Can't speak, can't hear. The sound is not clear.

"Turn on the mic and friends can't hear" or "Turn on the speaker and why doesn't the sound leave?" A classic Zoom meeting time problem that many people should have encountered.

The Zoom sound settings window tells the background of this problem well. Most of the reason is not because the program is broken or the computer is broken, but because our computer system is connected to many external devices, such as Bluetooth headphones, webcams, or HDMI cables to the projector in the conference room, so the Zoom system "chooses a switched transmitter" without us knowing it.

The technique of checking and selecting a simple sound source on the page is as follows:

Select a microphone: If we connect a separate webcam or plug in a USB Audio Device, the system may not automatically select the main mic. The solution is to press the arrow to the mic button and tick the mic that we are using.

Select a speaker (Selecting the speaker source): The key to the sound that won't come out is usually that we attach an HDMI cable to the TV screen or the projector and then quietly switch the sound to the screen.

If we want the sound to come out on the same computer speaker or Bluetooth headphones, just switch, tick, choose the right piece.
