「マキネッタの“カップ”って結局どのくらい？」が一番気になったので、私なりに分かりやすくまとめます。結論から言うと、マキネッタ表記の“cup（カップ）”はマグカップの1杯ではなく、エスプレッソの小さめ1杯（デミタス）基準のことが多いです。だから4カップ＝大きなカップ4杯分…ではなく、「濃いコーヒーが少し多めに取れるサイズ」というイメージが近いと思います。 ビアレッティVENUSの4カップは、抽出できる量がだいたい“デミタス数杯分”なので、アメリカーノにするならちょうど良いボリュームになりやすいです。私の場合は濃いめに抽出して、氷を入れたグラスに注いでから水でのばしてアイスアメリカーノにしています。こうすると薄まりすぎず、香りも立って満足度が高かったです。朝の持ち歩き用に小さいボトルへ分けるのもやりやすいサイズ感でした。 淹れるときのポイントも少し。粉は「エスプレッソ挽きより少し粗め」くらいにして、バスケットには“すり切りで山盛りにしない”のが失敗しにくかったです（押し固めるタンピングもしない派です）。火加減は弱〜中火でじっくり。勢いよくボコボコ出るとえぐみが出やすい気がするので、抽出が始まったら音をよく聞いて、出切る前に火を止めるのもコツでした。 豆はまずビアレッティの「PERFETTO MOKA CIOCCOLATO」を試したのですが、チョコっぽい香りがふわっと来て、酸味が苦手な私でも飲みやすかったです。ミディアムローストでも香りで“苦味の満足感”が出るので、最初の一袋にちょうど良いタイプかも。フレーバーが苦手じゃなければ、マキネッタ初心者の“失敗しにくい選択肢”だと思いました。 最後に、お手入れ面。VENUSみたいなステンレス系は見た目がすっきりしていて、使わない期間があっても気持ち的に扱いやすいのが良いところ。私は抽出後すぐに分解してお湯で洗い、洗剤は香り移りが気になるので基本使わず、しっかり乾かしています。パッキン（ゴム部分）は消耗品なので、抽出量が落ちた・漏れるなど違和感が出たら交換すると安心です。 「4カップ＝大容量」ではなく「濃いコーヒーを作って、のばして楽しみやすい量」と考えると、マキネッタのカップ表記が一気に理解しやすくなるはずです。
