To all the young moms
I see you!
I have been there.
Crying while telling people you're pregnant because of how scared you are either scared that you are pregnant or scared of their reaction.
Feeling excited and then feeling guilty for being excited because society says it is "wrong" that you are pregnant this young.
Knowing you are going to be a good mom but have people around you questioning you of "is this something you want?" or "can you handle this?"
Not having your life figured out but having to figure it out real fast.
Growing up verrrry fast.
Not being able to take a full maternity leave because your job doesn't offer paid leave and you can't afford to not be working.
Having to lean on your village maybe more than you would want.
Having to ask so many "stupid" questions because you have no clue what's going on.
Creating this bond with a tiny person that you created that is so special because it almost feels like you guys against the world. Having to live such a simple life (because that's all you can afford) makes everything feel so much more special and forces you to be in the moment with your little one.
All that being said, being a young mom was quite literally the most rewarding adventure. Through all of the doubts and hard times listed above came the absolute best thing to happen me. I have a relationship with my first born that will never be matched and I can't even begin to put into words why it will be unmatched. The memories I have of this time will be ones that I cherish forever and ever.
