จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวที่ใช้ดินสอเขียนขอบตามากว่า 15 ปี ต้องบอกเลยว่าการเลือกประเภทดินสอที่ถูกต้องนั้นสำคัญมาก โดยเฉพาะถ้าให้เขียนขอบตาล่าง ซึ่งมักจะเจอกับปัญหาเส้นเลอะหรือแพนด้ากันบ่อยๆในประเทศไทยที่มีอากาศร้อนชื้นสูง ดินสอแบบเหลาเป็นตัวเลือกที่ดีที่สุดจริงๆ เพราะนอกจากจะควบคุมความหนาบางของเส้นได้ดี ยังสามารถเติมเส้นระหว่างวันได้โดยไม่ทำให้เส้นเก่ารบกวนหรือเลอะเทอะมาก อีกทั้งถ้าเป็นคนหนังตามันก็ต้องเลือกสูตรที่ลดการหลุดลอกด้วย นอกจากนี้ใครที่เคยลองใช้ไส้หมุนจะพบว่าการเติมระหว่างวันค่อนข้างยากและอาจจะทำให้ดูไม่สมูท เพราะเวลาลากจะไปลบเส้นเก่าออกไปด้วย ส่วนแบรนด์ที่แนะนำอย่างยิ่งก็คือดินสอเขียนตาที่ผลิตโดยบริษัทชวาน (SCHWAN COSMETICS) จากเยอรมนี ที่คัดสรรเฉพาะแบรนด์คุณภาพสูงอย่าง THREE, YSL และ M.A.C ซึ่งแต่ละแบรนด์ก็มีจุดเด่นเรื่องความติดทนและเลอะน้อย จึงเหมาะกับสภาพอากาศบ้านเรา อีกทั้งยังมีสูตรที่เหมาะกับการเขียนขอบตาด้านในหรือล่างโดยเฉพาะ ข้อแนะนำเพิ่มเติมสำหรับผู้ที่ใช้ดินสอเขียนตาคือ ควรตรวจสอบวันเดือนปีที่ผลิตเสมอ เพราะเครื่องสำอางประเภทนี้จะมีอายุสินค้าค่อนข้างสั้น หากเก็บไว้นานเนื้อดินสออาจจะแห้งและเขียนยาก หรือบางครั้งอาจเกิดการระคายเคืองได้ ในฐานะคนที่รักการแต่งหน้าและการเขียนขอบตามาก การเลือกดินสอเขียนตาที่เหมาะสมกับสภาพผิวและสภาพอากาศเป็นสิ่งสำคัญมาก เพราะมันไม่ได้แค่ช่วยให้ลุคของเราดูโดดเด่น แต่ยังช่วยเพิ่มความมั่นใจให้กับเราในแต่ละวันอีกด้วย
