Information about this account
I create content about what it’s like to live with nervous system dysregulation, (or chronic illness).
On my account and website, you’ll find:
• How dysregulation affects different body systems (digestion, hormones, breathing, muscles, senses, etc.)
• Personal reflections on symptoms, recovery, and the messy middle of healing
• Explanations of common sensations: feeling “weird” after meditation, headaches, deep breathing discomfort, stretching pain, energy changes, and more
• The connection between chronic illness, trauma, and the nervous system
• Why some healing methods work for one person and not for another
• Insights on pacing, thawing from freeze states, and avoiding burnout while recovering
• Stories about the emotional side of illness, isolation, frustration, grief, and hope
• Gentle, realistic ideas for regulation that don’t rely on “just push through” advice
My goal is to help you understand your body ’s signals and to feel less alone in what you’re experiencing.
If you’ve ever thought:
• “Why can’t I relax, even when I’m safe?”
• “Why does my body react so strongly to small things?”
• “Why do I feel worse when I finally rest?”
then you’re in the right place.
This is a space for people who want to understand the mind-body connection, find language for what they’re going through, and explore realistic steps toward regulation.
If your nervous system feels stuck in overdrive or shutdown, and you’re looking for insight, validation, and a little hope, follow along. Most of Dysregulation is a sign that your body is trying to protect you. it’s understandable if that might sound confusing to you, it certainly was confusing to me, but the further along I have been on this journey the more I’m starting to understand it.
I appreciate everyone taking the time to take a look at my content. You can check out my website for more detailed stories and information
