Keeping up with fast lectures using Notes+!!

1/20 Edited to

... Read moreTaking notes during fast lectures can be challenging, but combining digital tools can make a huge difference. One powerful method is using the Notes+ app on an iPad, which allows handwritten notes to be quickly converted into neat, readable text—this makes reviewing much easier later. I particularly like setting up the Scribble to Text feature in iPad settings because it lets me write quickly without worrying about sloppy handwriting. Additionally, recording the lecture audio simultaneously is a lifesaver. I always start recording as the lecture begins and leave extra space in my notes to mark timestamps or jot down key points. This way, I can fill in gaps later by listening back, ensuring I never miss important details due to rapid speech. The ability to add images or screenshots from slides also helps clarify complex topics. For example, when attending lectures on intricate subjects like cost curves and demand-supply, having clear, searchable notes combined with audio playback enhances understanding and retention. I recommend experimenting with handwritten fonts such as Chalkboard SE or Bradley Hand in Notes+ to personalize your notes and make them more engaging. Overall, the combination of digital note-taking, audio backup, and deliberate review strategies transforms the stress of fast lectures into a manageable and even enjoyable process. Hopefully, sharing my approach helps others succeed in their studies too!
