Serve faithfully to the faithful God.

Serve faithfully to the faithful God.

1 Chr. 9: 1-44

These were the first people to return to their own cities after the captivity of Babylon. These were the inhabitants of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh.

Returning to Jerusalem, all were ready to perform their own duties again in the temple of God, according to their position according to the tribe entrusted to them by God, whichever they were, they fulfilled their duties to the fullest extent available for service in the temple of God.

Some of the tribes were keepers of the temple gate, fully functioning, guarding every four directions, having to come in every seven days at appointed times to guard the chambers and treasures of the temple, and opening their doors every morning. They lived around the temple. Some of the families took care of the utensils, prepared the spices, took care of the toasts in the trays, took care of the cakes. They prepared these every Sabbath for offerings to God. Some of the tribes were singers, musicians, they served in the temple day and night, so they stayed in the temple and did not do other duties.

From Abraham they disobeyed, and were enslaved to Egypt. God saved them, and brought them out of bondage, to enter into a fertile land, and they were not faithful to God, and turned to the gods. The land of Israel was torn in two, north, south, and finally captive to Babylon. But the love of God did not disappear from his people. He brought them back to the land, and entrusted them to serve God again.

May we appreciate the love, mercy, and remembrance of the grace of God that redeemed us from slavery to sin, regained into our relationship with God. This is the grace of God. May we remember the grace of God, the grace of love, committed, dedicated, given to life, in response to God's loving grace.

Today, let us explore ourselves. What does the Lord assign us to do in the church? And pray to give us the strength, the ability, that we may fully share in the church service. Although in the eyes of men it may seem trivial, humble, in the eyes of God we are His servants, it is an honor and privilege to serve God. Do our duty faithfully in response to the faithful God.
