And David thought of spiritual restoration, because the ark of God was now in Kirjath-jearim, and David consulted with the leaders about taking the ark of God back to Jerusalem.

And David conspired with the leaders and the congregation of the children of Israel to bring the ark of the covenant of God to Jerusalem, believing that it was the will of God, and that it was the approval of men. And David prepared a new cart to carry the ark of the promise.

Then David carried the ark with a new cart, and Uzza and Ahiyo the priests drove the cart. And David was filled with joy. And immediately he stumbled, and Uzza stretched out his hand, and took hold of the ark. And the anger of God was kindled, and Uzza died. And David was angry that God had taken Uzza to death, and put an end to the moving of the ark of God to Jerusalem, and brought it to the house of Obek-Edom the Gittite, all the three months that the ark of God was at the house of Obek-Echom. And God blessed his house.

Many people read of this event, apparently surprised that by moving the ark of God's promise, David had good intentions to move it, confident that it was God's will and man's pleasure, and that the best thing was to prepare a new cart in a good way instead of carrying it, and that David also danced and worshiped God with joy, while Uzza served his full duty when he saw that the ark of God would drop, and took his hand, but why did God have to kill him?

Although he had good intentions, the goal was great for God, but the method was important. David transported the wrong way. God carried the ark, but David was like a philistine by means of a cart instead. God forbade him not to touch it or look into it. But Uzza neglected forgetfulness. The important thing when he did wrong, instead of being angry with God.

Let us pay attention to God's Word so that we live by standards...By the way... according to God's will, there is no need or reason, nor can it be used as an excuse to disobey God.
