My sophomore year art class

In my sophomore year art class, I explored various mediums and techniques that enriched my artistic journey. The initial project involved drawing fake plastic skulls, challenging our observational skills. One of my most memorable assignments was using white charcoal, allowing me to experiment with light and shadow while creating a piece inspired by my favorite artist, Bryson Tiller. We also had the freedom to doodle, encouraging creativity beyond structured assignments. Surrealism became a highlight in my projects as I chose prompts that stirred deeper meanings within me. The stippling technique was a labor-intensive endeavor that taught me patience; it took nearly three weeks to complete. This project emphasized precision, as I strategically placed thousands of tiny dots to create depth and texture.
