This means that any irregularities can be detected early, allowing faster, more informed responses that minimize risks. Another important factor is the use of probabilistic risk assessments (PRA), which offer a more nuanced understanding of the actual risks involved with nuclear power plants compared to older deterministic methods. PRA enables regulators to allocate resources efficiently and update safety standards based on scientific evidence rather than conservative assumptions. From what I've observed, easing regulations does not imply reducing safety but rather optimizing it. Streamlined rules supported by technical data allow the nuclear industry to innovate and expand responsibly, balancing environmental benefits and energy demands.
