✨All That Falls Review✨

✨🌀🧚‍♀️📖✨

When I started this book back in December, I was not in the headspace for such a deeply woven fantasy, but I am SO glad that I came back to it! A. N. Horton has crafted a world beyond the veil of magic and intrigue, with courts of Fae reminiscent of both the factions of Divergent (but with a choice) and the courts in ACOTAR. The slow burn romance is *chef’s kiss* and the stakes and twists Seren goes through, just perfect. This is one that is great for fans of the ACOTAR series, with a strong FMC and found family, I can’t wait to read more.

... Read moreAfter diving into 'All That Falls' by A.N. Horton, I've had so many thoughts swirling about the incredible world they've built and, of course, the compelling journey of Seren. For anyone who's been curious about this author or searching for their next immersive read, let me share why this book truly stands out. One thing that absolutely sets A.N. Horton apart is their ability to weave such a deeply textured fantasy. It’s not just about magic and mythical creatures; it’s about intricate Fae courts, each brimming with its own motivations, ancient secrets, and political machinations. For anyone looking for authors who craft expansive, immersive realms, A.N. Horton delivers on every front. You can genuinely feel the weight of centuries in their world, and that depth makes every twist and turn feel earned, rather than contrived. It’s the kind of world-building that stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page, making you want to explore every hidden corner. Speaking of twists, Seren, our strong female protagonist, is just phenomenal. Her growth throughout 'All That Falls' is a masterclass in character development. She isn't just reacting to events; she's actively shaping her destiny, even when faced with immense challenges and daunting adversaries. I found myself rooting for her every step of the way, especially as she navigates the complexities of her world and faces unexpected *betrayal & twists*. Her resilience and determination reminded me of some of my most cherished heroines in fantasy, making her journey incredibly relatable and inspiring. The Fae courts themselves are a major highlight. If you love the political intrigue and distinct factions found in some of my other favorite series, you'll feel right at home here. It’s a world rich with Fae lore, and the dynamics between the different groups are fascinating, keeping you on your toes. And for all my fellow romance readers out there, the slow burn in this book? Absolutely exquisite. It’s the kind that builds gradually, making every interaction between characters loaded with tension and anticipation. It perfectly complements the grand scale of the story, adding another layer of depth and emotional investment. Beyond the romance, the theme of found family is woven beautifully throughout the narrative. Seeing Seren forge unbreakable bonds with unexpected allies truly warmed my heart. It’s a powerful reminder that family isn't always about blood, and these chosen connections are often what give characters the strength to face impossible odds and overcome adversity. This aspect added so much heart to an already epic tale. Now, a question I often ask myself after finishing a truly great read: Would I re-read 'All That Falls'? A resounding YES! There are so many layers and nuances I feel I could uncover on a second read, picking up on foreshadowing and character motivations I might have missed. I even found myself highlighting some favorite quotes because the prose is just as captivating as the plot. For those who track their reading, like with apps such as Bookly, this is definitely one you'll want to log and cherish. If you’ve been on the fence about picking up 'All That Falls,' I genuinely hope you give it a chance. It’s a five-star read that has everything I look for in a fantasy novel: magic, romance, intrigue, and characters you can truly invest in. A.N. Horton has created something truly special here, and I'm eagerly awaiting their next work.
