Start of something good

A Fresh Start

After a 16-hour fast, I’m breaking my fast with two eggs, a slice of ham, green taco sauce, half a Cara Cara orange, and a cup of healthy tea.

It’s time to take my health more seriously. I’m not overweight, but I’m not slim either. At 51 years old, 5’4”, and 157 lbs, I feel healthy, but I know I push my body hard—balancing a full-time job in the medical field, full-time school, and being a full-time mother and spouse.

I’ve decided to try the 75 Soft Challenge and see how it impacts me. I’m focusing on a healthier lifestyle by:

• Swapping out plastic bottles and containers for glass (I believe plastic breaks down over time and seeps into what we consume).

• Drinking filtered or aluminum-packaged water.

• Choosing organic or locally grown food when possible.

• Reading more and engaging my mind with books and puzzles.

• Adding vitamins and supplements approved by my healthcare provider.

• Reducing processed and overly pasteurized foods.

• Eating more seafood while continuing to enjoy fruits and vegetables.

• Cooking at home instead of eating out.

And lastly, of course working out 3 days a week to start and getting outdoor more. Maybe start something that I've been wanting to do for a while and start my photography side gig.

Putting this out into the universe to manifest the discipline and commitment to stick with it for the next 75 days. Let’s see where this journey takes me! #75Soft #HealthyLiving #ManifestingWellness
