Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

20-24 wonton wrappers

Vegetable oil, for frying

Directions

Prepare the Filling

Gently fold in the diced strawberries.

Assemble the Wontons

Fry the Wontons

My biggest tip for getting these perfectly golden-brown and crispy is to keep your oil at a consistent 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer if you have one – it makes all the difference! Don’t overcrowd the pot; fry them in batches so the oil temperature doesn’t drop too much. This ensures they cook evenly and get that beautiful, crunchy texture we all love. Once they’re out, immediately toss them in cinnamon sugar while they're still warm – it helps the coating stick perfectly. When it comes to assembling, don't be shy with the water when sealing the wonton wrappers. A little dab around the edges works wonders to create a tight seal, preventing that delicious strawberry cheesecake filling from leaking out.
